Platform Reels

Doors/Food Served 18:30. Screening 19:00-19:45.

Venue: Bo’ness Station, Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, Union Street, Bo’ness EH51 9AQ

All aboard! Pack your bags and book your exclusive first-class ticket for an express tour of trains in silent cinema, in the company of Curator of Silent Film at the BFI National Archive: Bryony Dixon plus composer and railway enthusiast Neil Brand providing live piano accompaniment.
For one night only the platform of the Bo'ness and Kinneil heritage railway will be transformed into an outdoor cinema. Featuring phantom rides, early fiction shorts and actuality footage, and with Bryony Dixon as our guide, we will ride the rails back to the turn of the 20th century when cinema's love affair with the railway began.
This screening is outdoors, under the platform awning. Dress for the weather! Blankets provided.
Performing Live: Neil Brand (piano)
