A little bit of HippFest... at Home!
The Hippodrome Silent Film Festival (HippFest) is Scotland's first and only festival of silent film with live music. In 2021 the Hippodrome Silent Film Festival ran entirely online, reaching a new international community. Since then we have continued to develop the Festival’s output across a variety of digital platforms. If you can't make it in-person screening don’t worry - you can join us at selected events online. We are excited to extend our celebration of silent film with live music to our digital audiences across the world.
Upcoming live-streams as part of HippFest 2024 will remain online for 48 hours after live broadcast, but please note booking closes 4-hours before each event. ⭐ If you have any queries or issues accessing, please email: christina.webber@falkirk.gov.uk. Available titles for 2024 include:

Our HippFest at Home programme extends the reach of the Festival to new audiences in a variety of digital formats. Featuring our brand new podcast; Q&As with performers, archivists, and film historians; live-streamed feature presentations from venues across Scotland and beyond; innovative online events; and insightful, cross-cultural conversations about archive cinema - we hope that there's something for everyone.
