HippFest is Scotland’s only festival celebrating silent film with live music, centred in and inspired by Scotland’s oldest cinema, the beautiful Hippodrome in Bo’ness.
The five day Festival is a chance to be part of an international community with an adventurous appetite for extraordinary cinema.
Year round we reach a range of audiences, schools and community groups through our commitment to accessibility, national touring and engagement work, bolstered by our pioneering HippFest at Home programme of podcasts, online presentations and ‘as live’ streaming. These initiatives reach thousands of people every year.
To make all this possible, we rely on money from a wide range of sources including cultural funders, local trusts and foundations, ticket income and, crucially, private donations.
Please donate if you can. Any donation is gratefully received.
THANK YOU.

HippFest needs your help! You could be our missing link.
We rely on grants and sponsorship for more than 80% of HippFest costs to bring you great films with live music and much more. Do you know any businesses whose values align with ours? Does your network include organisations that share our passion for great films with live music and might consider sponsoring HippFest? Help us keep this unique Festival alive by sharing with us your suggestions.
