Pert Kelly (Colleen Moore) is an effervescent shopgirl who loves a good time… ‘I want to go out, and dance and have fun, as long as I can, as much as I can!’ Truth be told, Pert is more girl-next-door than vamp, but she’s determined not to let on. After all, a respectable image would cramp her style!

Colleen Moore is perfect in the role of a feisty flapper who won’t stand for any nonsense… whether that be from her conservative father, a sleazy lounge lizard or even a handsome eligible millionaire – each intent on pigeon-holing her. You can’t keep a good bad girl down!
