Looking for a fun night at the movies – there’s nun better than this outrageously funny feel-good musical with added group singing activity led by choirmaster Matthew Brown newly appointed Director of Music at Heriot-Watt University and musical director and arranger for the acclaimed Memory Spinners Project working with dementia sufferers and their families.
Join us at the Hippodrome for this special Falkirk Science Festival Film event to learn the harmonious singing parts for one of the film’s iconic songs and find out how getting into the singing habit is great for your body and your mind. The pre-show singalong workshop will be followed by a screening of the comedy classic about a nightclub singer (Whoopi Goldberg) forced to take refuge from the mob in a convent, who ends up turning the convent choir into a soulful chorus complete with a Motown repertoire.
Dir. Emile Ardolino / US / 1992 / 1h 40m
