Late-night film screening of Sam Raimi’s cult horror-comedy: the gleefully gruesome quasi-sequel to ‘Evil Dead’, loved by film fans for its sublime supernatural effects, its mix of the hilarious with the grotesque, and Ash/Bruce Campbell’s inimitable reactions to the mad cascade of horrors overwhelming him… “groovy!”
After discovering an audiotape left by a college professor that contains voices reading from the ‘Book of the Dead’, Ash's girlfriend Linda (Denise Bixler) becomes possessed by evil spirits that are awakened by the voices on the tape. Ash finds himself once again battling horrifying demons at a secluded cabin in the woods.
