In 2015 we celebrated our 5th birthday with a packed programme of rare and classic films from the world's archives embracing many genres, styles and nations.
Our programme had a special Scottish focus and audiences enjoyed some real silent gems including 'Annie Laurie’ a romantic tartan Hollywood vision of Scotland, the Film Explainer unpacking Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’, and the life of so-called Scottish expat Eric Campbell in ‘Chaplin’s Goliath’. Our Silent Stars in Scotland photographic exhibition also went on tour presenting press photographs of legendary actors and actresses from the archive of the Glasgow Herald that hadn’t been seen for over 70 years.
