COVID-19
You can book with confidence for your chosen events, safe in the knowledge that we are operating under up-to-date Scottish government guidance for COVID-19.
To keep each other safe please follow Scottish Government COVID-19 guidelines when at our venues https://www.gov.scot/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance/
We have set out the measures below that we are taking to help you feel more comfortable attending the Festival, but also ask that you play your part and look out for each other, our staff and performers. We hope these measures will give you the confidence to join us at HippFest.
We look forward to welcoming you.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Mandatory wearing of face coverings in indoor spaces (unless medically exempt) except when eating/drinking.
- Hand sanitiser stations available for customers.
- Card Payment machines in place to avoid unnecessary cash handling.
- A one-way system in operation inside the Hippodrome and the Barony Theatre.
- Online booking system to minimise queuing at our box office. The lead booker’s details will be used for Test & Protect purposes.
- A ventilation system in the Hippodrome that ensures airflow around the building.
- Front-of-house surfaces will be cleaned and sanitised between events.
Staff and Volunteers
- Our staff and volunteers will sign in and out of the venue and declare that they are not showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
- All staff and volunteers will wear masks (unless medically exempt) and regularly wash and sanitise their hands.
- Our staff and volunteers will not report for work if they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 and will be sent home immediately if they show any signs whilst at work. They will be asked to undertake a test and not return to work until they test negative.
- All staff and volunteers are encouraged to test themselves before coming to work.
- All staff and volunteers are trained in our COVID-19 safety protocol before working with us.
- All performers will be required to wear face coverings (unless medically exempt) when not on stage.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- Do not attend the Festival if you are showing any signs of COVID-19. Regular testing is advised and, as per Scottish Government guidelines, we ask that you take a lateral flow test before attending the venue.
- Comply with all current Scottish Government guidelines/laws, and venue guidelines, as per the signage around our building.
- Wear a face mask over your mouth and nose at all times (unless medically exempt). Face masks should be worn unless you are eating or drinking, but please replace them as soon as you have stopped.
- If you have a smart phone or other compatible device, you do not print-off your tickets, but show them to our staff on your screen when entering the building. However, if you already have printed tickets, these are still valid.
- Ensure we have your correct contact details when you book tickets through us in case you need to be contacted for Test & Protect purposes.
- Regularly use the hand sanitiser units located around the building.
- Pay by card wherever possible.
- Be patient and kind, and understand that everyone is feeling different levels of comfort on returning to busy spaces.
If you are required to isolate due to COVID-19 and are therefore unable to attend, we have a refund policy in place. Please contact us on 01324 506850 in advance of the event you were due to attend for full details.
